We are delighted to welcome our new park managers Carol and Paul Tott to our wonderful Gateforth Park team.
Originally from Stockton on Tees, Carol and Paul have had varied careers both at home and abroad. They join us from a touring park in Filey, where they worked as wardens until the site was sold. Having loved their time in that role, they are excited to now have the opportunity to live and work at Gateforth.
They’ll be bringing to our team all the experience and knowledge they’ve gained in their variety of previous jobs. Paul served in the Army for 24 years, working in transport and logistics, with the couple spending 12 years living in Germany. During this time, Carol worked as a special needs teaching assistant in service schools. She has also held customer facing and management roles within retail, banking and the postal service in England.
After Paul left the Army, the couple lived in Lincolnshire and ran their own owner/driver haulage business for seven years before making a complete change and taking up their role at the park in Filey.
Paul and Carol have been married for 35 years, and have two married sons and three grandchildren.
Carol said: “Gateforth Park is a beautiful place to call home as well as work, and we are very much looking forward to being part of the development of phase 2 and 3.”
Settling in
The Gateforth Park team and homeowners have been making Carol and Paul very welcome as they’ve settled in to their new role.
The couple has already been getting stuck in to all aspects of managing the park, including helping to plant hedging along paths on phase 2.
They have also spent time introducing themselves and getting to know all the residents, as well as exploring the local area including the lovely Vale of York countryside surrounding Gateforth Park.
Carol said: “We have settled in straight away and would like to thank everyone for their warm welcome.”
