The next stage in Gateforth Park’s development is gathering pace after the summer months have seen new residents welcomed and more plots reserved on Phase 2.
With the first two sets of homeowners moving in by the end of July to the stunning Lakeside properties, this area of our residential park is really taking shape.
Every week sees more plots being snapped up, including a show home around the lake that was sold within two days of being installed on site. The new owners are a lovely couple who are very excited to be moving to Gateforth Park. There are now five homes sold and 10 reserved, ranging from a 40 x 20 Sofia to a 50 x 20 Residence. Prospective homeowners have enjoyed visiting Prestige’s manufacturing site to discuss and choose the interior furnishings and fabrics for their new park homes.
Phase 2 comprises 69 beautiful park homes, all with good sized gardens. The Lakeside homes (pictured above) are proving particularly sought-after, not just because of the private fishing peg at the end of each garden but also the lovely views across the lake. The lake itself is being prepared for the fish that will be introduced in springtime when the ambient temperature of the water is suitable.

Our community
One of the best things about Gateforth Park is the fabulous sense of community and the friendships that are being formed here. We have a range of people aged over 50 living on the park, from singles to couples, retired, semi-retired and still working. Some have moved here from the local area, while others are from further afield. For many, it is their first time on a residential park and they are enjoying the benefits that it offers, including living among like-minded neighbours.
One of the activities our residents have planned together is a Macmillan cake bake in September. Excitement is also building for the delivery in October of the community centre, which we are hoping will open in December.
Enjoying the outdoors
The park has been looking stunning over the summer, and residents have enjoyed being outside in their gardens, taking walks in the surrounding countryside or spending leisurely hours relaxing with neighbours.
With many of the homes having generous gardens, there has been lots of planting, pruning and general sprucing up over the last few months. Alongside the residents, our managers and contractors have been very busy adding patios, fencing, sheds and paving to gardens, as well as keeping the communal areas immaculate.
Open Weekend
Following the success of our Open Weekend in May, we are hosting another one in September to meet the demand for viewings of our brand new residential park.
Taking place over three days on September 9th, 10th and 11th, our Open Weekend will offer the chance to tour the site and view the park homes available. Our sales team will be on hand to answer any questions about living at Gateforth Park, while representatives from Quick Move will be available to discuss options around selling a house and buying a park home.
