It’s been a busy month at Gateforth Park with two key events in our calendar.
The first was the Great Caravan, Motorhome & Holiday Home Show in Harrogate at the beginning of September, and the second our Open Weekend at the beginning of October.
At both events we met lots of wonderful people, all at different stages of their journey towards park home living. Some of the people we spoke to told us they are thinking of moving to a residential park home in a few years’ time. If you are thinking the same, we’d recommend you start looking sooner rather than later to give you time to form an idea of what exactly you want from your park and home. Here at Gateforth, we will be starting Phase 3 of our development in the near future, and there is sure to be a lot of interest. If you are interested, come and have a browse around our existing Phase 1 and 2 areas of the park to get help you imagine how Phase 3 will look.
Harrogate Show
This holiday and residential home show saw a record attendance with over 30,000 tickets sold and over 200 homes on display. It was fantastic to be part of it, showcasing all the amazing things that Gateforth Park has to offer to residents in retirement.
Our team were on the Omar stand, showcasing the fabulous Vision, which was due to be sited at Gateforth after the show. Featuring vaulted ceilings to the lounge and a central open-plan living space, this gorgeous 44’ x 20’ two-bed home has a light and spacious feel, enhanced by the stylish pastel shades of the interior furnishings.
It proved to be a very popular home with visitors to the Harrogate show, who were especially taken with the two lounges.
The lovely late summer sun that had been shining down on us all weekend disappeared on the last day of the show, turning it a little muddy under foot, but this didn’t stop the crowds. With potential owners looking for their forever home, we even managed to fill our appointment diary for our Open Weekend taking place a few weeks after the show.
Open Weekend
With an owner moving into their forever home and a full appointment diary for the weekend, the first day of our Open Weekend was super fun!
The icing on the cake was selling the Omar Vision that we had showcased at the Harrogate Show before bringing to the park. This lovely home truly was a showstopper and we are delighted that the new owners will be starting their new life at Gateforth in a few months’ time. Day 2 saw another deposit laid for a lakeside plot to fit a 52’ x 22’ home which had a bespoke option that really appealed to the buyers. They also loved the fabulous views of the lake that they’ll get from their home.
